SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall management of the logistical support system to include purchasing, shipping, receiving, stocking, warehousing, inventory control, financial accounting and reconciliation, support base development and accountability of government furnished equipment. 


  • Implement a logistics management system that includes a financial management plan.
  • Make recommendations for improved logistical policies and ensure full and effective use of assigned personnel and resources.
  • Determine required stocking levels and develop a system for reaching and maintaining these levels.
  • Assess component repair capabilities and recommend outsourcing or development of in-house repair capabilities.
  • Supervise and coordinate department administrative responsibilities with other departments as required. This will include the mandatory, weekly parts/material reconciliation meetings between buyers and associated work center supervisors.
  • Determine requirements for, and ensure establishment of communication systems that provide for the complete support of the maintenance department.
  • Personally audit logistics programs and processes to ensure compliance and documentation accuracy.
  • You will have the managerial responsibilities in order to comply with the company's Occupational Health and Safety program.
  • Conduct work in the safest manner possible in accordance with approved technical data and TAC policies, and in a manner that enhances their own/other employees' health and safety, product safety and promotes risk reduction; participate openly in safety-related event investigations, and immediately report workplace hazards and make suggestions for their control; cooperate and contribute toward the overall success of the SMS program at the local level.
  • Implement site-specific SMS-related risk assessment, risk reduction and safety enhancement processes and improvement initiatives.
  • Understand their contributions to the Quality Management System and continually seek areas for improvement. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.



  • Knowledge of project management, supervision of all supply chain functions, financial knowledge and budgeting skills.
  • Familiarity of Airworthiness processes with US Armed Forces and FAA, as well as, Security Management and ITAR regulations.
  • Knowledge of US Government contract procurement process and associated regulations.
  • Previous experience working for a US Government Contracting company is preferred.
  • Strong Managerial experience overseeing large teams.
  • Strong communicator who disseminates and obtains information with discretion, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • The ability to effectively work with all levels of staff and management, with a demonstrated ability to drive consensus across different functional teams
  • Strong talent management and team development skills
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills, and the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to travel

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 10 years of leadership experience within Supply Chain function of Aviation Industry preferred.



  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone



  • Travel required
  • May be required to work beyond normal hours of work in order to meet operational requirements.
